How to update existing DNS zone after new DNS service node was added?

  1. Select desired name servers in Activation Parameters of the DNS resource:

PA panel > Products > Resource Types > DNS resource > Activation Parameters > Edit
  2. Change parameters in the Service Template:

    PA panel > Products > Service Templates > ..template_name.. > Parameters > Edit

find DNS section and set nameservers, afterwards all new subscriptions will be created with the NS records pointing to these nameservers.

NOTE: Parameters in the Service Template have higher priority, so if you set up DNS servers in both ways, DNS servers from Service Teamplate will be used.

  3. Update existing DNS zone by switching DNS Hosting from internal to external and back to internal:

PA panel > Services > DNS Zones > zone_name > DNS > click Change DNS Hosting to External

If you need to update multiple zones, please refer to the following article: KB121389
