Is it possible to upgrade OS from CentOS to Cloudlinux on Plesk Automation Service nodes? What is the best practice for this scenario? What tools are available to manage Cloudlinux with Plesk Automation?

Plesk Automation does not support in-place upgrade of operation system from CenOS to Cloudlinux Service Nodes. This scenario has not been tested with Plesk Automation and it's not officially supported.

In order to manage LVE and CageFS in Cloudlinux please refer to Plesk Automation Deployment Guide: Setting Up LVE in CloudLinux and Setting Up CageFS in CloudLinux

As a workaround you can do the following:

  1. Deploy new Service node with Cloudlinux 6.x Operation System and register it in PA according to PA Deployment Guide.

  2. Transfer hosting data from CentOS-based server to newly deployed Service Node according to PA Operations Guide.

  3. Remove source server from PA infrastructure.
