Symptoms
Order fails with an error message:
Upgrade Service Failed(error auto handler): operation with NULL string value (right operand)"
Cause
Order fails due to some exception received from OA, which is incorrectly reported as operation with NULL string value (right operand) because of the bug with id #PBA-68457 ("Error "Upgrade Service Failed(error auto handler): operation with NULL string value (right operand)" instead of actual error message").
This is not actual error message. Order failed due to some issues on OA side. Error reporting bug has been submitted, #PBA-68457 Error "Upgrade Service Failed(error auto handler): operation with NULL string value (right operand)" instead of actual error message.
Resolution
Resubmit an order and /usr/local/bm/log/generic.log or the recent problem reports with this error message to get an actual error from OA. For the fix of the bug #PBA-68457 install the hotfix #127938 or update to BA 6.0.7 where the bug is fixed.
