Symptoms
Domain renewal order stuck in Service out of sync status. In logs of OpenSRS the following error can be found:
[15-10-01 10:24:20.326 RDBMS RQ00000 TH24894 NTE] Code: 1000. server closed the connection unexpectedly This probably means the server terminated abnormally before or while processing the request.
OpenSRS fails on OPENSRS.GetDomainDetails method.
Cause
Issue is caused by random networking issue that is closing idle network connections between BA application host and BA database host. OpenSRS is trying to use old socket and fails.
Internal issue PBA-66084 is submitted to improve database connection validation mechanism on BA side.
Resolution
As a workaround, failed renewal order can be restarted.
