Symptoms

After minor update installation some of the buttons are absent in CCP.

For instance: FTP management.

Cause

Temp file was created during the update installation in the following location:

/usr/local/pem/ui/WEB-INF/conf/includes/

for example:

/usr/local/pem/ui/WEB-INF/conf/includes/.forbtmpg74ghm~

During the UI start all files from includes folder are being merged in configuration. This temp file cause duplication of configuration entities in resulting configuration file.

Attempt to initialize this resulting configuration fails and it cause absence of appropriate entities in the UI

Resolution

  1. Remove temporary file

  2. Restart UI service with:

    service pemui restart
