Symptoms

You are upgrading an Office 365 subscription from APS 1.2 to APS 2. After running the upgrade script, the Provisioning "Migration" for APS application Microsoft Office 365 task fails with the ...There is no transition from 'TM' to 'OP'... error message. If the task is restarted, the task fails with the ...There is no transition from 'OP' to 'OP'... error message.

Resolution

To resolve this problem, perform the following actions:

  1. Log in to the Office 365 Application End-point Host as Administrator.
  2. Prepare the following information:

    • the name of the Office 365 Gateway Site
    • the name of the Office 365 Gateway Application
    • the hostname of the Office 365 Gateway Site
    • the IP Address of the Office 365 Gateway Site
    • the directory of the Office 365 Gateway Application

    Note: You can use the https://kb.cloudblue.com/en/124950 KB article to prepare this information.

  3. Back up the content of the directory of the Office 365 Gateway Application.
  4. Place the O365-Web.zip file on the host.
  5. Unblock the content of the O365-Web.zip file. To do this, right-click the file in Windows Explorer, click Properties, click Unblock, click OK.
  6. Unpack the O365-Web.zip file.
  7. Start Windows PowerShell Console and go to the directory where the content of the O365-Web.zip file is placed.
  8. Execute the following command:

    .\setup.cmd -GatewaySiteName <The name of the Office 365 Gateway Site> -GatewayAppName <The name of the Office 365 Gateway Application> -GatewayIPAddress <The IP address of the Office 365 Gateway Site> -GatewaySiteCertSubject <The hostname of the Office 365 Gateway Site> -Force
    
  9. Restart the task.
