There is a mail-enabled public folder where Accept Messages From is set to Everyone and the public folder is served by Exchange Server 2013 Cumulative Update 6 (and higher). Messages sent by anonimous users are not delivered to the public folder.

Cumulative Update 6 for Exchange Server 2013 introduces new default permissions to public folders for anonimous users. Operations Automation 6.0.6 (and higher) takes into account this, but some public folders created on installations with Exchange Server 2013 Cumulative Update 6 (and higher) and Operations Automation 6.0.5 (and lower) might obtain incorrect permissions for anonimous users.

To resolve the problem, perform the following actions:

  1. Log in to any Exchange 2013 server as Domain Administrator.
  2. Upload the FixPermissionsOnMailEnabledPF.ps1 script to the server.
  3. Open Exchange Management Shell.
  4. Run the script. The script will fix permissions for all mail-enabled public folders.
