Symptoms
Error is shown when trying to register a new OS template with Discover OS Templates via Services > Cloud Infrastructure > Virtualization Nodes > node > OS templates
Template registration failed. Error: IM rejects request with message P3000040: Template [ubuntu-12.04-x86_64-vm] is not compatible with the hardware node [pcs0005.local.net]:
Tag id = 59: technology mismatch
Tag id = 60: option [edition] mismatch
Tag id = 61: os type mismatch
Cause
Virtualization node does not have necessary tags assigned.
Resolution
Tags assigned to the node can be checked via Services > Cloud Infrastructure > Virtualization Nodes > node > Cloud. To fix the error, please follow instructions from documentation and modify Virtualization node tags - add new tag for OS template you are trying to register:
