There are two kind of httpd config files in Plesk:

# grep VirtualHost /var/www/vhosts/system/domain.tld/conf/last_*
/var/www/vhosts/system/domain.tld/conf/last_httpd.conf:<VirtualHost >

last_httpd.conf is modified whenever end user changes IP address type from shared IP to dedicated IP but last_httpd_ip_default.conf is not modified.

  1. What is the purpose of the last_httpd_ip_default.conf?
  2. Why last_httpd_ip_default.conf is not regenerated when end user changes IP address type?

last_httpd_ip_default.conf is used when domain.tld is set as default for an IP address:

Plesk -> Home -> Tools & Settings -> IP Addresses -> -> Default Site

If domain.tld is not used as default for any IP address then last_httpd_ip_default.conf is not used and is not updated after an IP address is changed.

However this file exists because in the past domain.tld was set as a default domain for the IP address
