  1. The following error displays when attempting to access the control panel:

    502 Bad Gateway
  2. The sw-engine service is stopped:

    # /etc/init.d/sw-engine status
    sw-engine-fpm is stopped
  3. The following error is thrown when trying to start the service:

    # /etc/init.d/sw-engine start
Starting sw-engine-fpm: [22-Apr-2015 18:12:12] ERROR: [pool plesk] 'slowlog' must be specified for use with 'request_slowlog_timeout'
[22-Apr-2015 18:12:12] ERROR: failed to post process the configuration
[22-Apr-2015 18:12:12] ERROR: FPM initialization failed

Misconfiguration in /etc/sw-engine/pool.d/plesk.conf. The following parameter is uncommented:

`request_slowlog_timeout` = 10s

If defined, the parameter request_slowlog_timeout requires the parameter slowlog to be defined as well. Since it was commented out in configuration file, the service failed to start.

  1. Make sure both of the parameters are commented out in /etc/sw-engine/pool.d/plesk.conf:

    ;slowlog = /var/log/sw-cp-server/slow.log
    ;request_slowlog_timeout = 10s
  2. Start the sw-engine service:

    # /etc/init.d/sw-engine start

NOTE: the slowlog is the PHP parameter, that helps to trace and debug the PHP script. The parameter request_slowlog_timeout defines the time period to serve one PHP method/query. When the 'slowlog' mode is turned on, the output is being logged to the file, defined in slowlog parameter.

By default in the mentioned parameters are commented out in configuration file.
