Cannot connect to OpenSRS services through PA Billing.

Test connection to configured services provided by OpenSRSfails with errors.

For Domains service:

Test connection failed:
Check credentials

For Certificates service:

Connection failed: HTTP operation failed with error code 35 : SSL connect error

PA Billing uses SSLv3 protocol for connection to service provider, but OpenSRS cuts off SSLv3 connections, accepting only TLS.

The behavior is confirmed as internal issue PPA-2449. The fix is planned to be included in one of the future product updates.

  1. Download and unpack the file to the Billing service node:

    [root@billing ~]# wget
    [root@billing ~]# tar -xvf hotfix.tar.gz
  2. Backup the original and replace it with the edited one from previous step:

    [root@billing ~]# mv /usr/local/bm/lib64/{,.backup}
    [root@billing ~]# mv /usr/local/bm/lib64/
  3. Make sure the permissions for all the *.so files are equal (644):

    [root@billing ~]# ll /usr/local/bm/lib64
    total 186184
    -rw-r--r-- 1 root root 4704288 Oct 15 2014
    -rw-r--r-- 1 root root 970376 Oct 15 2014
    -rw-r--r-- 1 root root 991056 Oct 15 2014
    -rw-r--r-- 1 root root 933448 Oct 15 2014
    -rw-r--r-- 1 root root 297368 Jun 10 05:08
  4. Restart pba service:

    [root@billing ~]# /etc/init.d/pba restart
  5. Re-check the connection to OpenSRS services.
