Disk space used by databases on MySQL/MS SQL service nodes is not reflected on Statsistics tab in Customer Control Panel. Under Disk space section the database usage is always 0 B.

This behavior is caused by software issue with id #PPA-2116. Disk usage statistics cannot be calculated for remote databases. This issue was completely fixed in PA 11.5 MU#11.

However, even though the issue was fixed in PA 11.5 MU#11, the database disk usage statistics will not start being calculated until it is manually enabled in PSA database, see Plesk Automation release notes, section Parallels Plesk Automation 11.5.10 (16 April 2015), paragraph 13 for details.

The manual intervention to the database is needed in order to avoid automatic blocking of the subscriptions that overuse disk space with their databases after Update 11 is installed.

In order to enable database disk usage statistics calculation, follow the steps below:

  1. Make sure that the Update 11 or higher is installed. If PA version is lower than Update 11, install latest updates first:

    # /usr/local/ppa/bin/ppa_update --install-updates
  2. Insert the following record to the MySQL database on the Management Node:

    # plesk db
    # mysql> insert into misc values ('include_remote_databases', 'true');
  3. Wait till Daily maintenance task has run and completed its execution.
