Contacts update for the DistributeIT domain is stuck 'In Progress' which is preventing other domain changes (e.g. not possible to change NSes).

The Domain Activity tab of the domain in the providers/reseller's control panel shows:

Contacts update is in progress. Unknown error while calling plug-in container. getOrderStatus. Empty OrderID

When trying to make further changes to the domain e.g. updating name servers the following error is displayed:

Cannot Update Domain's Name Servers. Contact's Update is currently in Processing.


The issue is caused by the bug with id #PBA-58394 ("[DISTRIBUTEIT] GetDomainContactsStatus and GetDomainNameServersStatus failed after update procedure").


Until the bug fix is available, an issue may be workaounded with the steps below:

  1. Find an OrderID in the susbcription service status history:

    Domain Registered. Domain status:Registered, Notifying. Getting status about domain succeeded. Order ID: 123456. Order status: 10. Response message: CompleteGetting domain details succeeded for domain Response message: <1 time(s) called.> 
  2. Update the domain external data with DomainExtDataAdd_API call (set the OrderID to the value found).
