2015-04-02 23:54:41,936 [ERROR]: See installation log file /tmp/ppa_installer.log for details.

In the /var/log/messages:

Apr  3 01:06:33 ns369375 kernel: grsec: From process /usr/bin/sw-engine(sw-engine:23373) attached to via ptrace by /usr/bin/sw-engine[sw-engine:23375] uid/euid:0/0 gid/egid:0/0, parent /usr/bin/sw-engine[sw-engine:23373] uid/euid:0/0 gid/egid:0/0

When trying to run API request to the management node it returns:

<head><title>502 Bad Gateway</title></head>
<body bgcolor="white">
<center><h1>502 Bad Gateway</h1></center>

Linux kernel security ptrace protection was enabled on the server.

To work around the issue disable ptrace protection by editing the /etc/sysctl.conf file and adding the following line:

# echo "kernel.grsecurity.harden_ptrace = 0" >> /etc/sysctl.conf

Then apply changes by executing the following command:

# sysctl -p
