  1. Task Update the password of the user with the username *user_login* fails with error message:

    User does not exist
  2. When logging into panel as user only DNS and Webspace tabs are shown.

  3. The following error can be found in in var/log/poa.debug.log file:

    User does not exist 


Database inconsistency caused by incorrect user creation/deletion - failed and canceled tasks . The record in table smb_users with the requested externalId value does not exist in psa database.


  1. Go to PPA > Operations > Users and find ID of the issued user by user login

  2. Create psa database dump as it is described in the article

  3. Log in to psa database and find the user:

    mysql -uadmin -p`cat /etc/psa/.psa.shadow` psa
    mysql> select * from smb_users where login = 'user';
  4. Check that user does not exist in clients table:

    select * from clients where login='user';
    Empty set (0.07 sec)

    If the user exists in clients table please apply the solution described in the article

  5. Update the externalId of the smb_user with ID from step 1

    mysql> update smb_users set externalId=2656 where login='user';
  6. Re-run the task.
