How do I remove some PHP versions from Customer Control Panel on IIS-based subscription?

The only way is to uninstall an unwanted PHP engine from IIS node. To do this please follow these steps:

  1. Log on to the IIS service node
  2. Open command line with administrative privileges
  3. Go to Plesk 'bin' directory:

    ...> cd %plesk_bin%
  4. Issue this command:

    ...Plesk\admin\bin> ai.exe --console --select-product-id panel --select-release-latest --source
  5. On the next screen press "Enter", then on the next screen press enter again
  6. Set proxy settings if needed, go to the next screen
  7. Leave product version unchanged and go to the next screen
  8. On the components list type '25' ('Plesk hosting features') and press enter
  9. On the next screen you can choose components to be deleted. After you chose which engines you want to remove, type 'L' to return to the main menu
  10. Press 'Enter' to apply changes, on the next screen confirm the action
  11. Go to PPA> Infrastructure> Service Nodes, select the IIS service node by clicking it's hostname and on the opened page on the bottom find the button 'Refresh' under the 'User-installed packages' section. Press 'Refresh'.
  12. After this go to CCP for the IIS based subscription and check that removed PHP engine is no longer available.

Note that:

  • Before removal an unwanted PHP version from a IIS service node you should switch all the webspaces on the service node from this PHP version, otherwise the websites hosted in such webspaces will be broken. Unfortunately we cannot provide you with a solution for mass update of this setting

  • You can remove remove any version of PHP, but you should keep either PHP 4.4 or 5.2 (it depends which version - PHP 4 or 5 is specified in 'Service Templates> your service template> Parameters> PHP support') in order to be able to create a new webspace
