When subscription is switched to the service template that does not allow to create backups, the dumps that were created before remain on the backup node.

It leads to unnecessary storage consumption on the backup server.

In addition, the service templates that are supposed to disable the backup option do not do that.

The behavior is known software issue #PPA-2328. The fix is included to MU #12.

Update PA to the latest version:

/usr/local/ppa/bin/ppa_update --install-updates

NOTE: To define the subscriptions with disabled backup option and remove their dumps manually:

  1. Log in plesk database:

    # psql -Uplesk -h`hostname` plesk
  2. Execute the query below:

    plesk=> select distinct STP.st_id as service_template_id, as service_template_name, SB.sub_id as subscription_id, as subscription_name, PW.webspace_id as webspace_id, PW.domain as webspace_name from st_act_params STP join service_templates ST on STP.st_id = ST.st_id join subscriptions SB on SB.st_id = ST.st_id join plesk_webspaces PW on PW.sub_id = SB.sub_id where ( = 'pleskweb.permission.ftp_backup' and STP.value = 'false') OR ( = 'pleskweb.permission.local_backup' and STP.value = 'false');
