How to assign/add SSL certificate for IIS-based subscription?

Adding SSL certificates on IIS-based websites running on shared IP is supported only since Windows 2012.

If you would like to add SSL certificate to IIS-based website running on Windows prior 2012, you should do the following:

  1. First, add new IP pool to use a dedicated IP address for the website:

Add and sssign IP pool to Windows service node: PA > Infrastructure > IP addresses > Add New IP Pool

  2. Enable using dedicated IP addresses for the subscription:

Go to Operations > Subscriptions > (select the subscription) > Resources tab > Edit. In the IP addresses (for IPv4) and IPv6 addresses (for IPv6) fields, specify the number of dedicated IP addresses that should be provided. A 0 value indicates a shared address.

  3. Next, change IP address for the webspace in which the website is running:

Switch the webspace to use dedicated IP address in Customer Control Panel > Webspaces > click on domain name > select dedicated IP from drop-down menu

  4. After the IP address is changed to dedicated, assign a certificate to the website:

Go to Customer Control Panel > Websites > click Secure Your Sites link under domain name.
