How to increase the number of simultaneously running tasks?

By default PPA runs 5 task at the same time. That is optimal value and Parallels does not recomend to set is more than 10 as it might cause the issues related to hardware performance of your server (if performance of your server in not high enough, the tasks might hang and fail).

To increase the amount of simultaneously running tasks:

  1. Backup plesk database.
  2. Log in it:

    psql -Uplesk -h`hostname` plesk
  3. The necessary value is stored in tm_config table:

    plesk=> select num_runners from tm_config;

    To increase it to 10, execute the following query:

    update tm_config set num_runners = 10;
  4. Restart pem service:

    /etc/init.t/pem restart
