Files uploading to Wordpress fails with the error:

"Missing a temporary folder".


PHP cannot find C:\temp folder, since directory browsing is not allowed on C:\


The following needs to be applied to fix:

1). Add 'Read & execute', 'List folder contents', 'Read', 'Write' permissions for IISAnonUsers on C:\temp

2). Create a sub-folder in C:\temp, for example C:\temp\phpupload

3). In php.ini change upload_tmp_dir directive as follows:

upload_tmp_dir = "C:\temp\phpupload"

4). Restart IIS server (in Administrative Settings > Service > World Wide Web Publishing Service).
