I have created a new branding (default) with the name domain.tld and use the name panel.domain.tld to connect to the panel.

When I install a new SSL and assign that for the domain, the SSL does not work. I would like to know if my configuration is correct.

Incorrect PPA configuration.

Check Marketing > Brands the domain.tld domain is configured to be used to access the Hosting Panel (a new subscription is created for branded domain name. As it should be there is domain.tld but no panel.domain.tld in PPA).

To protect an access to PPA SSL certificate must be installed to "branding subscription" (brand).

To check your configuration go to 1. Marketing > Brands > clicked Configure domain.tld branded domain and was redirected to Hosting Panel with the branding subscription.

  1. Websites & Domains > clicked on the domain name domain.tld > checked that the Enable SSL support checkbox is checked.

  2. Websites & Domains > clicked Secure Your Sites > clicked on the certificate name - domain.tld and make sure that SSL certificate was issued to the domain name of your brand, not panel.domain.tld
If that Domain name is specified as panel.domain.tld that means that you current configuration is not correct. At this point you have 2 options:

    • Recreate a brand and specify the panel.domain.tld as branded domain name. To remove a certain brand from the system, you need to login to the Administration Panel go to Marketing > Brands > select a brand > Delete.

    • Purchase correct SSL certificate - the one that will be issued to domain.tld.
