Symptoms
Varios POA tasks fail due to incorrect EID. Examples:
Stop VPS:
Container with eid 78f2e2bd-7669-449b-aaa8-98b8c654c22e not found
Setup bootable state of VPS:
3804 : This operation is prohibited for this Environment: read 'C:/vz/PVA/Agent/Data/etc/configs/78f2e2bd-7669-449b-aaa8-98b8c654c22e' : The system cannot find the file specified.
VPS related task fails with the following error:
This operation is prohibited for this Environment: can't find ctid by env
Cause
The issue occurs because the real EID of the VPS does not match EID in POA database. EID of the container could be changed either by Parallels Virtuozzo Containers (during cloning) or manually by system administrator. However POA does not possess the new EID in its database, producing the above errors.
Resolution
Get the new eid from eid.conf on the Hardware node(How to find a container's EID) which is located in:
On Linux - /vz/private/CT_ID/.vza/eid.conf
On Windows - C:\vz\private\CT_ID \ .vza\eid.conf
- Contact Parallels Technical Support, providing the found EID, so that they could add the correct EID in POA database.
