There were domain registration plans, later resource WHOIS privacy/DNSSEC has been added to the service plan. Attempt to synchronize the subscriptions with option Install into Provisioning System set to Immediately fails with error message

Could not install Resources to DOMAINGATE: Unknown error occurred.

Sync with option set to Not Install results in the resource in unmanagable status Purchased.

How to make the resource available for the customers purchase?

Inability to sync the subscriptions properly (with option set to Immediately) is caused by the bug with id #PBA-64237 ("Unable to add WHOIS Privacy resource to existing subscriptions"), fixed in OSA 7.3.

If upgrade to OSA 7.3 is not possible in the nearest time, then the following actions are to be done:

  1. Add resource WHOIS Privacy to required service plan.
  2. Synchronize the subscriptions with the plan using options:

    Install new resource(s)

Install into Provisioning System - Not install

  3. WHOIS Privacy resource will appear in subscriptions, but in Purchased status
  4. Contact Odin Support to set status of resource to Optional - after that it will be possible to upgrade resource amount.
