Symptoms
A domain order for .eu domain fails with an error similar to:
Domain registration failed. Domain registration submitted to OpenSRS but there is a problem. (470) Invalid format of owner contact. Parameter value syntax error Reason:Invalid country code.
The exact error depends on the registrar used for the domain registration/transfer.
The country code is correct, corresponds to two-letter country codes defined in ISO.
Cause
The user which tries to register the .eu domain is not a resident of one of European Union countries. The .eu domains are available for registration by an organisations or individuals located within the European Union, Iceland, Liechtenstein or Norway only.
