I want to change the root password on SSH-Manageable DNS server registered in Odin Business Automation Standard (OBAS). How to do that?

  1. Login to the name server as root and change root password with command "passwd":

    ~# passwd
    Changing password for user root.
    New password:

  2. Login to OBAS as Provider (or Reseller) and update the password:

Top > Service Director > Domain Manager > Name Servers > %name_server_ID% > Edit: Use the root password

Put the new password into the "Password" field.

Since name server's ID is not changed during password update, all DNS zones remain untouched.
