Symptoms

  • Attempt to destroy a subscription with IIS hosting and a site application (WordPress, Joomla, Drupalfails, etc) fails:

Destroying service of Subscription #<sub_id> failed: Parallels Operations Automation error #extype_id #173, module_id #IIS, Not all operations for site '<d1001234-346.site.domain.com>(domain_service<ID>)' are finished. Please wait until all related tasks are finished and try again.

  • There is a failed event in PBA:

Event Handler Subscription passed Terminate Date BM
    Status Failed
Comments Execution Failed: Destroying service of Subscription #<sub_id> failed: Parallels Operations Automation error #extype_id #173, module_id #IIS, Not all operations for site '<d1001234-346.site.domain.com>(domain_service<ID>)' are finished. Please wait until all related tasks are finshed and try again..

Cause

This is expected behavior in case there are unprocessed tasks (either in failed or running statuses) for the mentioned domain_service<ID>.

In case there are no tasks present, and there the subscription includes a siteapp, then it fails to be destroyed due to POA-82063.

For OA 7.x platform: End-of-life of Windows Shared Hosting has been announced as per KB article - thus such issues are not planned to be fixed. Please apply workaround for each particular case - resubmit failed Cancellation Order - and consider further WSH migration.

Resolution

Please upgrade to the latest version of Odin Automation, where this issue has been fixed.

For OA 7.x platform: Apply workaround for each particular case - resubmit failed Cancellation Order - and consider further WSH migration.

To destroy the subscription before update installation - enable it (e.g. with pem.enableSubscription), remove site application from the susbcription, click "Destroy" button in PBA/resubmit failed event.
