Symptoms
When performing Office 365 configuration of Whois Checker it is not possible to proceed past step 2a, because it is not possible to create a registrar based on whois container.
Cause
Documentation describes configuration in PBA 5.4, in PBA 5.5 whois checkers are to be configured as described below.
Resolution
Go to System > Settings > Domains > WHOIS Checkers in the Services group and create a new Whois Checker with the following settings:
- Whois server: BackNet IP Address of the Linux-based host, where the domain availability verification script is installed
- Pattern-Match Rule: domain available
- Pattern to Search: %domain%
- Domain zones: onmicrosoft.com
Click Save.
