Preliminary checking of migration configuration fails with an error:

Client 'Example_Customer'
Error: A customer with the same username but different contact data already exists in PPA. The list of differences:
  ¦ ¦ ¦ - e-mail of a customer in PPA: '', e-mail of the checked customer: ''
  ¦ ¦ ¦ - the Contact Name (First Name + Last Name) parameter of a customer in PPA: 'Customer', the contact name of the checked customer: 'John Gold'
  ¦ ¦ ¦ Either remove the difference (if both accounts belong to the same customer) or change the customer's username (if these are the different customers).


The same customer exists on source server and in Plesk Automation but has different personal information data.


  1. Log in Plesk Automation Administration Panel.

  2. Go to Operations -> Users -> Example_Customer -> Contacts.

  3. Review and temporary modify customer details to source server values. In current example following changes are needed:

    • Email: ->
    • First name: Customer -> John
    • Set Last Name: Gold
  4. Log in to Plesk Automation Management Node as root and re-initiate migration check:

    [root@ppa ~]# cd /etc/ppa-migrator
    [root@ppa ~]# ppa-transfer check config.ini
  5. Restore original customer information after migration.
