The hardware on a service node that hosts services in Plesk Automation (PA) should be replaced. This will also involve the node IP address change.


In order to perform these actions, the following actions should be taken:

  1. Use the PA moving tool in order to move hosting services from the node:

    In order to get the subscriptions names and and their correspo9nding services for the particular node, you may use the below SQL query to PPA database:

    psql -U plesk -h `hostname` plesk -c "select  pw.domain,ph.referer from plesk_hosts ph JOIN plesk_webspaces pw on ph.webspace_id=pw.webspace_id where ph.ipv4='IP_ADDRESS'"

    Where IP_ADDRESS should be substituted with the real node IP. It is recommended to save this list to some file in order to move services back to the node afterwards.

  2. Move the DNS service from the node by following this article.

  3. Change the existing DNS zones according to

  4. Detach the Service Node

  5. Rebuild the SN hardware and attach it anew

  6. Repeat steps 1,2 and 3 but move services back to a rebuilt node
