When trying to activate the domain in PA Provider Panel > Services > Websites the following errors are shown:

Error: Some of the selected domains or aliases were not activated
Error: Unable to activate the domain: The domain is suspended.

When trying to activate the domain in Customer Control Panel > Websites, it shows the error as below:

Error: The domain or website cannot be activated because it was suspended by your hosting provider.

If try to check the domain's status the following output is shown:

# /usr/local/psa/bin/subscription --info | grep status
Domain status: Domain is temporarily suspended for backing up or restoring.


Suspend domain until backup task is completed option was activated in Backup Manager for the domain in question. This issue occurs when backup task was not finished successfully.


  1. Login to the Management Node via SSH.

  2. Activate domain using the following command:

    # /usr/local/psa/bin/domain --on
  3. After that check the backup logs in the /usr/local/psa/PMM/logs folder to find a reason why backup has failed. If the issue occurs regularly, please contact Odin Technical Support:
