Symptoms
Upon restarting snmpd service on PACI-registered virtualization node, the following error is written to /var/log/messages:
Feb 13 07:39:26 vm10 snmpd[844799]: /etc/snmp/snmpd.local.conf: line 13: Error: bad security model, should be: v1, v2c or usm or a registered security plugin name
Cause
This is caused by CCU-7719.
Resolution
Modify /etc/snmp/snmpd.local.conf by editing the line:
access parallelsGroupany noauthexact systemview none none
It should have the following form:
access parallelsGroup "" any noauthexact systemview none none
