Customers are unable to create Reverse DNS records in their control panels as the drop down menu for the "Name" field does not return any information.

CP > Reverse DNS > New Record

The "Reverse DNS" tab is shown in CP since the option "Manage PTR records for Containers in Control Panel" is enabled in Domain Manager under Top > Service Director > Domain Manager > Setup.


Management of Reverse DNS through CP is not implemented in OBAS 4.x. There is a feature request for future implementation, its ID is PBAS-9513.


Customer-manageable Reverse DNS is possible for Plesk Domains and Containers only. For details please refer to Managing Reverse DNS (Adding PTR Records)
