A sub-domain is created on a Parallels Plesk 11.5 node.

After synchronization with Odin Business Automation Standard (OBAS), this sub-domain appears as a separate domain in OBAS.

Such behavior was classified as the software issue #PBAS-29158 - Incorrect subdomain creation and was fixed in OBAS 4.5 release.

To resolve the issue, please upgrade to 4.5 version as described in How to upgrade OBAS system to the latest available version.

Please note: If a subdomain is created from OBAS > Control Panel > All my domains > Add new domain and the option to create it as subdomain is selected, it is normal behavior that a separate zone will be created.

If you do not want to create a separate zone for a subdomain, then in go to the Customer Control Panel, choose the Plesk Domain subscription xxxx at the top of the page in the drop-down menu, then choose the option "Add new subdomain".

Remove the subdomain from the DNS zone of the base domain:

  1. Go to Top > Service Director > Domain Manager > Domains > %subdomain_name% and remove the subdomain

  2. Go to Top > Service Director > Domain Manager > Domains > %main_domain_name% > DNS Records Suppliers > Synchronize Suppliers (so that the Parent Zone supplier is removed)

  3. Go to Top > Service Director > Domain Manager > Domains > %main_domain_name% > DNS Zone > Disable/Activate - this will force DNS synchronization to slave name servers.
