When I try to open folder in File Manager under Files tab I am getting the following error:

Unable to open the directory: Unable to read directory (C:\Inetpub\vhosts\\httpdocs\): (5) Access is denied. at execute "C:\Program Files (x86)\Parallels\Plesk\admin\bin\filemng.exe" sub3_86 list dirs C:\Inetpub\vhosts\/ (RunTime::RunAsUser::run line 273)


The issue is caused by the incorrect permissions for the subscription system user.


  1. Login to the IIS node.

  2. Open "CMD" as Administrator user and run the following query to set proper permissions:

    "%plesk_bin%\HostingSecurity.exe" --update-domain-security --vhost-name=""  --user-name="sub3_86"

    Where vhost-name is subscription name and user-name is subscription's system user name.
