Symptoms
Resource usage is zero on a subscription in BA, the customer is not billed for the resource, but in OA resource usage is calculated and displayed properly.
Cause
The resource is configured not to accumulate the statistics from OA. Its settings:
Measurable - No
Controlled By - External System
which means:
- BA requests OA to allocate resource 'Included Units' amount specified in service plan. Thus, 'Included Units' value in BA is set as 'Included Units' in OA.
- BA does not collect resource usage statistics from OA.
The resource settings can be defined in the service plan and can be overwritten on the subscription level.
Resolution
If you need resource usage statistics to bill the customer, change the resource settings, refer to "Use Cases of Measurable Option" for description of the resource settings:
If you need to apply the changes to the existing subscriptions, their synchronization with the changed service plan is required (option "Update Prices" is necessary).
