Symptoms
A domain subscription was canceled and terminated by DailyBillingProcessing task because a subscription was not renewed, however the domain status was not changed at the registrar's side.
Cause
Domain auto-renewal is enabled on the registrar side, which causes the domains to be automatically renewed. The issue that domain is not cancelled at the registar but cancelled in BA is a bug with id #PBA-39946 ("Domains are not cancelled when subscription is terminated by service terms").
Resolution
It is necessary to terminate a domain on the registrar's side manually.
Until the bug is fixed, you may review the Domain Cancellation Settings:
- Allow to cancel domain before expiration date
- Number of days before domain expiration date
- Allow automatic process cancellation
These settings allow to cancel the domain properly (with cancellation order) if it was not renewed X days before expiration.
