Symptoms

When trying to create an HTTP Load Balancer (LB) in the PO Custoer Control Panel a customer is getting the following error message immediately:

An error has occured. HTTP Load Balancer could not be created.

Cause

A Load Balancer is being created as Virtual Environment (VE) based on the OS group which Load Balancer's image belongs to (e.g. CentOS 5.6).

The PACI Instance Manager treats LB as normal VE in terms of limits, and customer does not have VEs based on the necessary OS Group (OS Group of the Load Balancer's image) in their subscription, the limit for such VEs is 0. So, POA cannot create a Load Balancer for the customer.

Resolution

Upgrade POA to 5.5, the problem reported as CCU-5403 is resolved in this version.

In the meantime, resolve the problem by adding of OS group of the Load Balancer's image into POA PACI Service Template and PBA Service Plan and synchronizing subscriptions with Service Plan in PBA.
