Windows service removing task fails in OA with the following error message:

Specified AD entity not exist (entityId = ID)

E.g. it may be the task to remove Exchange mailbox, distribution list, contact, etc.

Race condition - the task to remove AD object from OA database was processed before the task to remove hosting object which is using the deleted AD object. E.g. AD security group was removed from database before deleting corresponding Exchange distribution list, or AD user was removed before deleting its Exchange mailbox.

Also possibly caused by:

  • POA-75426 in 5.4
  • POA-81703 in 5.5
  • POA-100513 in 6.0

Check if the corresponding hosting object (Exchange mailbox, contact, distribution list, etc) is still present in Customer Control Panel in the 'Deleting' (or similar) status.

If there is no such object anymore then cancel the failed task in OA Task Manager, otherwise contact the Odin Support Team to resolve the issue.

  • POA-75426 was fixed in OA 5.5
  • POA-81703 was fixed in OA 6.0
  • POA-100513 was fixed in OA 7.0
