Symptoms

In the Users tab of the Parallels Operations Automation (POA) Customer Control Panel (CCP), a service user has the Deleting status.

All background tasks related to the service user in question were successfully completed, as in the example below:

Task ID Task name
37362 Remove mailbox 'john.doe' (id=65)
37364 Remove AD entity of type 'UserAccount' (LDAP: 'CN=john.doe,OU=S001000101,OU=Provider,OU=Hosting,DC=host,DC=local'; entity_id: 65)

There are no failed or canceled tasks in the POA Task Manager related to the service user and there is no option to reactivate the user or re-initiate the removal process.

You can try finding failed or canceled tasks in the POA Task Manager using the following parameters:

  • Name or ID of the service user ("john.doe" in the example above)
  • Name or ID of the service assigned to the service user (Exchange mailbox "john.doe" in the example above)
  • LDAP path of the corresponding user in the Active Directory ("CN=john.doe,OU=S001000101..." in the example above)

Cause

This problem may arise when a race condition occurs during the service user's removal. The problem has been reported as POA-67614.

Resolution

Contact the Parallels Support Team to resolve the problem for a particular service user.

To prevent similar issues in the future, upgrade POA to version 5.4.6, 5.5, or newer.

If the problem is caused by canceled tasks, a feature request POA-84938 was created for POA to switch the status to "Ready" from transitional status.
