The following error is encountered: "Unable to authenticate at the host ''. Please check that the password is correct."

  1. Run the following MySQL query in the PSA database on the PPA Management Node:

    # mysql -uadmin -p`cat /etc/psa/.psa.shadow` psa -e 'select accessKey from ServiceNodes where ipAddress="";'
    | accessKey |
    | NULL |
    | V4RU*****************0KYP8Lh |
1 row in set (0.00 sec)

Replace the IP address "" with the IP address of the Service Node from the error message.

  2. Synchronize the access key on the Service Node.

    2.1. Linux

Connect to the Service Node via SSH and execute the following command:
    # cd /opt/psa_agent/internal/
    # export authUser=psaagent; export authRealm=agent; export authPassword=<accessKey that you get on step 1>; echo $authUser:$authRealm:`echo -n "$authUser:$authRealm:$authPassword" | md5sum | cut -b -32` > auth

    2.2. Windows

Connect to the Service Node and execute the following command:
    > "%PLESK_DIR%\admin\bin\usermng.exe" --set-password-agent-user --password=<accessKey that you get on step 1>

PPA Management Node uses the access key for authentication. This error means that the access key is broken.
