A customer ordered domain with hosting subscription in PBA Online Store. Order provisioning failed in PBA.

As a result, the domain purchased with hosting subscription was not added to POA and remains in 'Prepared' status in PBA.

In hosting subscription properties on the Service Status History tab in PBA Provider Control Panel one of the following error messages is displayed:
Default Domain creation failed: Parallels Operations Automation error #extype_id #11, module_id #Hosting, There is no Apache, IIS or Exchange hosting associated with subscription #1000001 or An attempt to call external for name servers failed. Parallels Operations Automation error #extype_id #11, module_id #Hosting, There is no Apache, IIS or Exchange hosting associated with subscription #1000001. Domain status:Prepared

Service Template or Service Plan is configured incorrectly.

There 2 ways to solve the problem, they depend on Provider's model of services selling.

If your intention is to be able to sell domains with hosting subscriptions that do not include Apache, IIS or Exchange services, change Service Template settings in PBA to allow not binding purchased domains to hosting services.

Log into PBA Provider Control Panel
Go to Product Director > Plan Manager > Service Templates
Select the needed Service Template
Click Edit
Change the 'Domain Hosting Type' parameter from 'Hosting' to 'Not configured' as on the screenshot below

However, in most cases Providers prefer to sell domains with hosting, in this case one need to review resources configuration in POA Service Template or PBA Service Plan - one of hosting resource types, such as Apache/IIS webspace or Hosted Exchange organization, has to be included into template or plan. The common practice is to include into POA Service Template at least one unit of resource based on one of the following Resource Classes:
  • IIS Web Hosting
  • SharePoint Services Hosting
  • Domain Parking Hosting (Apache)
  • Exchange Hosting
  • Apache Web Hosting
  • Domain Parking Hosting (IIS)
  • CQMail Hosting

Adding hosting resource into Service Template in POA keep in mind that subscription should not contain conflicting hostings, like the Apache Web Hosting and IIS Web Hosting simultaneously (or QMail Hosting and Exchange Hosting).

Keep in mind that limits set in POA Service Template are being overwritten by PBA Service Plan's Resource Rates. For example, if you have a resource with non-zero limit in POA Service Template and a Resource Rate with zero included units in PBA Service Plan, subscription will be created in POA with zero limit of the corresponding resource.
