When I try to upgrade subscription to the latest version of Hosting Plan through Provider Panel (CP > Billing Director > Product Manager > Hosting Plans > select Hosting Plan > Subscriptions > Upgrade Subscriptions), the following error is displayed:

Upgrade failure: the APPLICATION_NAME application is not enabled in the hosting plan

List of included applications is defined in Hosting Plan settings, and it is propagated to subscriptions which belong to this Hosting Plan as well. By default, OBAS does not allow upgrading subscription if there are services\applications in old Hosting Plan which are absent in a new one.

Ability to upgrade subscription if application does not exist in Hosting Plan can be controlled through PCC > Commerce Director > Upgrade Manager > Configuration:

* Do not allow the customer to change their hosting plan if some of the applications from the old plan are not present in the new plan

Generally if you want to upgrade the subscription to the latest Hosting Plan version it is needed to add missing application to Hosting Plan application list first.

Another way to upgrade subscription is to do this through PCC > Account Director > Subscription Manager > Subscriptions > Select subscription > General Settings > Change Hosting Plan. In this case you will see a warning:

The following applications will be lost after the hosting plan change

Listed applications will be uninstalled and subscription will be upgraded.
