Introduction

To ensure a smooth and stable migration experience, we strongly recommend that you always use the latest version of the migration tool. This article explains how to upgrade it.

Note: During the upgrade of the Migration Manager, the pau service will be restarted. This will make the Provider Panel inaccessible for a few minutes.

Supported configurations

Odin Automation 7.4 and later with Migration Manager installed.

Upgrading the Migration Manager

To upgrade it, carry out the following steps:

  1. Download the packages oam-aps-9.650-PPMRHEL7.tar and oam-backend-9.650-PPMRHEL7.tar to the management node.
  2. Untar files:

    tar xvf oam-aps-9.650-PPMRHEL7.tar
    tar xvf oam-backend-9.650-PPMRHEL7.tar

  3. Move ppm packages to /usr/local/pem/install/tarballs:

    cp other-RHEL-7-x86_64-oam-aps-1.8.0-650.tgz other-RHEL-7-x86_64-oam-backend-1.7.3-650.tgz /usr/local/pem/install/tarballs

  4. Run the migration-packages-updater.py:

    python migration-packages-updater.py

  5. Go to Provider Panel > Infrastructure > Service Nodes > management node > Packages, find the package "oam-backend" and upgrade it. Wait until the package is upgraded.
  6. Go to Provider Panel > Infrastructure > Modules, select Migration Manager, click Install/Update. Make sure that these tasks are completed successfully.
