Extending the VDS template. (HD 3.5 for Linux)

With update package 4 (UP4), Sphera introduced a simple (and cool) way to extend the VDS template.

The VDS template is the building block of VDSs. Every time a new VDS is created, the system copies or links all the files from the template into the new VDS.

Many of our customers asked for the ability to expand this template, so we added two directories :

/vs/ToCopy and /vs/ToLink.

If you want to add additional modules or files into your VDS, place the new files in one ofthese directories, and when a new VDS is created they will be hard-linked or copied respectively. In order to place the file in a certain directory, just create the directory hierarchy you need under ToCopy or ToLink.

*See UP4 release notes for more information.
