When adding a domain or mailbox in Helm (using Merak) it fails and I get the
following in the error log:
2004-03-21 23:11:34 Mail.CreatePOP3Account Creation of POP3 account
'test@aaaabbbbb.test' failed with error code (-1).
2004-03-21 23:11:34 Mail.IEMail_Execute Creation of POP3 account 'test@aaaabbbbb.test' failed with error code (-1).

This is a non-Helm issue, but after investigation, the following causes were found:
1.) When running any ODBC connection with Merak to a remote database (MySQL/MS SQL/etc), you need to make sure that the DSN connection is present on both the Merak server and the Helm control server. If this is not the case, you will get the above error.
Note - you CANNOT use Helm's MSDE instance as the database for Merak. This will cause serious issues.
2.) Also, make sure you have not set any kind of minimum password length in Merak. Because Helm generates a random password for the POP3 account that is created when a domain is added, the Merak password length cannot be limited or it will cause issues with domain creation.
