Ensim is pleased to announce the release of our Ensim WEBppliance Pro for Windows 2003.

Major Capabilities of WEBppliance Pro for Windows 2003:

The most significant new features in WEBppliance Pro for Windows 2003 are a new set of professional caliber capabilities for high availability web site hosting. These include:

  • Web site isolation: All the scripts and applications for each web site run in their own isolated application pool. This prevents failures in one web site from affecting others, increasing reliability.

  • Guaranteed quality of service: You can limit the total amount of CPU, memory and bandwidth consumed by each web site. This prevents any one site from hogging server resources and reducing the performance of other sites.

  • Fault tolerance: The scripts and applications for each web site are automatically monitored and restarted if they fail or begin to consume excessive resources. This ensures that they are always available, even if they contain memory leaks or other bugs that cause
    them to crash periodically.

In addition, WEBppliance Pro for Windows 2003 offers an updated user interface. This user interface is designed to project a professional image as well as ensure ease of use. It is similar to the popular user interface introduced in April on WEBppliance Pro for Linux.
