Symptoms

While synchronization of Office 365 the following error is thrown:

Cause

The user already exist in POA database and added as admin user from CCP or staff memebers

Resolution

Rename the username from CCP and resynchronize subscriptions as per Cannot create a mailbox in POA Customer CP: "Service user with login 'name' already exists".

Also,

  1. It is possible to change user's login name using PBA API method UserUpdate_API which described in API documentation. Please also check the example xml.

  2. The second way was implemented in OA since 7.0 version:

    • In Provider's Operations CP > System > Settings > Enable/Disable CCP v2 > Customers tab
    • Choose Any in Ownership drop menu > Enter Staff member's Vendor name and click Search > Check it and click Enable CCPv2 button
    • Enter the user CCPv2 > Users tab > Search staff member > Click edit > Change Email (To Sign In) > OK (Field Personal Email is not required to change).
