A customer has placed a Sales Order for some service plan and additionally purchased an additional amount of a resource. The subscription was successfully started but the purchased resource failed to be provisioned and the order stayed in the "Provisioning Failed" status. Later, the customer cancelled the subscription. After that, when trying to archive the failed sales order, an error message is shown:

ERROR: update or delete on table "OItem" violates foreign key constraint "SubscrParam_OIID" on table "SubscrParam"


The behaviour when a cancellation order can be placed for a subscription having not completed sales order is not correct. Subscription can be cancelled only if its sales order is completed or is possible to be cancelled (for that, it must not contain completed provisioning items).

In order to address this behaviour, an internal software issue PBA-85343 was submitted to the development team.
