Azure Cloud Solution Provider Integration Features

The following new features are supported in the Azure Cloud Solution Provider Integration version 6.0.

Importing Existing Azure CSP Subscriptions

Providers and resellers can now import any Azure subscriptions available in the Partner center to IM Cloud Platform.

In the Indirect CSP model, the importing is available for:

  • CSP provider as IM Cloud Platform provider
  • CSP provider as IM Cloud Platform reseller
  • CSP reseller as IM Cloud Platform reseller/sub-reseller

In the Direct CSP model, the importing is available for:

  • CSP partner as IM Cloud Platform provider
  • CSP partner as IM Cloud Platform reseller/sub-reseller

The importing allows completing the scenarios of:

  • switching the Azure CSP subscriptions from a different CSP partner
  • transferring a Direct CSP partner to Indirect CSP Provider as Indirect CSP reseller
  • transferring an Indirect CSP reseller from a different Indirect CSP provider

Support of Reconciliation Reports for Provider and Reseller (1st Tier Partners)

Starting from IM Cloud Platform 7.4, providers and resellers (1st Tier Partners) can download usage reports in their control panels.

Pre-Defined "Azure Backup Vault" Template Is Replaced with "Recovery services Vault" Template

In previous versions of Azure CSP Integration application, the set of the pre-defined Azure templates contained the "Azure Backup Vault" template with resources available via Azure Classic Portal only, which is not available for CSP clients. Now, the "Azure Backup Vault" is replaced with the "Recovery Service Vault" template. This solution is recommended by Microsoft https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/azure/backup/backup-azure-upgrade-backup-to-recovery-services.

  • APSA-19486 Azure usage reports do not match billing info due to not aligned billing period start time
  • APSA-19436 AzureCSP: "Execute operation 'arm_templates'" task fails: "ArmError. NullPointerException"
  • APSA-19361 Provisioning tenant task fails: "Specified resource ... is not found"
  • APSA-19331 Provisioning tenant task fails when MPN ID ends with space
  • APSA-19200 Azure 4.x always places tile on Account > Subscriptions
  • APSA-18780 Azure tile is displayed when "Display Category in CCP" is disabled

Obtaining

Contact your Ingram Micro support account manager to obtain the new versions of the Azure Cloud Solution Provider (Azure CSP) application package.

Installation

  1. To install the Azure CSP application, use the instructions provided in the Azure CSP Integration Provider's Guide (for Azure 1st Tier Partner as IM Cloud Platform Provider).
  2. We highly recommend that you configure the regular Azure database backup (at least daily) using any DB backup solution.

Upgrade

Upgrade is supported from version 5.0/5.1/5.2 only.

  1. Copy the package to the endpoint node and perform the following commands:

        #unzip -o -d /usr/local /root/odin-azure-distr-6.0.x.zip
        #cd /usr/local/azure
        #python deployment/setup.py upgrade
    
  2. Copy the package to the management node and perform the following commands:

        #unzip -o -d /usr/local /root/odin-azure-distr-6.0.x.zip
        #cd /usr/local/azure
        #python deployment/setup.py upgrade
    
  3. Upgrade instance.

    Important: If there is more than one instance on the system, run the instance upgrade sequentially, that is one by one.
